Safety & professional-use notice

Draft — not effective. Provider details and the licence model are incomplete. Bracketed fields require confirmation and local legal review before public launch.

Website wording

StowMate Pro, ChiefMate Workstation and the associated Work / Rest, cargo and document tools support qualified maritime personnel. They are not a substitute for the vessel’s approved Cargo Securing Manual, vessel-specific limits, statutory requirements, flag/class instructions, company procedures or competent professional judgement.

Verify the product version, input data, units, assumptions, vessel configuration, applicable rule edition and all material results before operational use. A BAPLIE import, green indicator, calculated lashing result, calendar mark or generated report does not itself establish safe stowage, adequate securing, compliant rest, an approved document or a signature. Planning estimates and schematic geometry must not be treated as an approved individual securing-system calculation. Work/rest outputs require review of actual records and applicable MLC/STCW and flag-state rules.

The Master, operator and other responsible persons retain their applicable duties. Do not use an unchecked output as the sole basis for a safety-critical decision. If a result is inconsistent, an input is missing or the software reports an error, stop relying on the affected result and obtain an independent check. Report suspected defects to info@stowmate.pro, with the version and a minimal redacted example.

Nothing in this notice or the applicable terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, mandatory product liability, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights remain unaffected.

Review before operational use

This software assists qualified maritime personnel. Verify inputs, vessel limits, applicable rules and outputs against approved shipboard documentation. Calculations, green indicators and generated reports do not certify safety or MLC/STCW compliance. Obtain an independent check before relying on a safety-critical result.

Your acknowledgement confirms that you have read this notice; it is not a waiver of legal rights or consent to unrelated data processing.

Suggested actions: Read full safety notice · Continue. Record only [notice version and acknowledgement event necessary for the selected implementation], with clear retention/privacy information. Do not describe a local browser acknowledgement as a legally sufficient licence signature.

Exported-report footer — proposed copy

Decision-support output — independently verify inputs, vessel limits, applicable rules and results. Not a safety/compliance certificate or approval. Responsible professional review required. Mandatory liability and user rights remain unaffected.

Add outside this sentence: [product/version], [report ID], [date/time and time zone], [rule/data edition], [material assumptions or “see assumptions”], and [review/approval status]. A footer alone cannot cure an inaccurate report or replace prominent material limitations.

Placement and release checks

These are drafted texts. Website placement is supplied in this local legal section. First-launch and report-footer copy is supplied as an implementation handoff; no operational report template or A4 layout has been changed in this task. Before integrating them, verify every export format, multilingual/print legibility and that the actual product claims and intended use match the wording. Do not claim CE, flag/class approval or universal compliance without evidence and the correct regulatory assessment.
